Serving DeKalb County, Illinois

DeKalb County Veterans

An outreach concept created to fund, support, and develop veteran awareness in DeKalb County, Illinois.

Welcome to:
DeKalb County Veterans

The concept for this site comes from a collection of former military and civilians who want to ensure the future support of honoring Veterans and Veteran families in the greater DeKalb County area. It was created to fund, support, and develop veteran awareness, honoring the past and the present, for those who have served or are currently serving our Country.

Our Mission Statement

To take positive action that promotes veterans and organizations that support veterans, and to promote and support current and future ‘Memorials’ dedicated to veterans and military support organizations. Increase the local community’s awareness of veterans’ needs, issues, wants, and events. Build strong, lasting, and respectful partnerships with community/academic/business leaders, other organizations (veteran and civilian), and governmental agencies.

DeKalb County Veterans Recognition Fund

This group is partnering with the DeKalb County Community Foundation
to create an endowment fund for the future, honoring the past.

The purpose of the fund is to promote veterans and organizations that support veterans and to promote and support current and future ‘Memorials’ dedicated to veterans and military support organizations. This group strives to increase the community’s awareness of veterans’ needs, issues, and wants throughout DeKalb County. As a direct result of the group’s efforts, strong, lasting, and respectful partnerships will be built with the community as well as academic, business, and civic leaders.

This Fund is the first endowment of its kind in DeKalb County, which is making history today, honoring the past as it makes plans for the future.
